  • Individual Therapy

  • Art Therapy

    Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy which uses visual media to improve emotional and mental health. This approach can provide a safe space for accessing traumatic experiences, interpreting thoughts and emotions and expressing feelings creatively by focusing on inner experiences.  In creating art one can address and explore their perceptions and feelings while accessing their imagination and intuition.


    The goal of art therapy is to use the creative process to help individuals:

    • Explore emotions
    • Develop self-regulation
    • Cope with stress
    •  Increase self-esteem and resiliency
    • Find new ways to gain personal insight
    • Develop new coping skills

    Techniques used in art therapy include:

    • Collage
    • Colouring
    • Drawing
    • Working with clay

    Individuals of all ages and backgrounds can benefit from art therapy and do not need to have artistic ability to participate.

     

    Art therapy can be offered in individual or group format. Please speak to our intake coordinator to find out what is currently available.

  • Couple Therapy

    A satisfying relationship with our partner is one of the most important goals and challenges in life. At the start of couple therapy, we will work together to understand the problem from the perspective of both partners. We want to explore why you are choosing to seek help now and what you have already tried to solve the problem. Our work together will be to find better solutions and more satisfying ways of being together.

  • Family Therapy

    In our families, we learn how to communicate about feelings –hopes, fears, anger and sadness. Childhood and adolescence bring unique challenges, and children may present their own special needs. We will help families to find workable solutions to help resolve problems and improve communication. Family therapy uses the unique strengths and resources of families to help move away from deeply ingrained patterns of interaction towards healthier, happier relationships.
